Modified on Mon, 9 Dec at 10:03 AM

Product Description

The CloudGate Probe is a compact, DIN rail-mountable metering device designed to connect various devices over Modbus (RS-485), M-bus, Digital & Analog Inputs to a LoRaWAN network. This enables convenient remote monitoring of assets and buildings.

As a cost-effective and compact solution, the CloudGate Probe is capable of reading and transmitting data from nearly any meter to any IoT platform. Additionally, it can be used to adjust settings or control the state of actuators such as HVAC systems, control valves, relays, and more.

The CloudGate Probe LoRa is ideal for building applications, including smart building management and building automation platforms.

User Manual

The detailed user manual, CloudGate_Probe_API is also available for download at the bottom of this page. It provides comprehensive instructions on how to install, configure, and operate the CloudGate Probe.

Configuration Options

The CloudGate Probe can be configured in three different ways:

  1. LoRaWAN Downlink Messages
  2. Programming Cable and Command Line Interface (CLI) Tool
  3. Factory Configuration (Available for bulk orders, subject to Minimum Order Quantity)

We recommend configuring your CloudGate Probe devices via LoRaWAN Downlink messages for ease of use. The CLI tool for manual configuration is available for download below. For larger projects, we offer factory pre-configuration services. Please contact your local representative for more information.

Additional details on configuration methods can be found in the user manual.

Recommended Hardware

For RS-485 configuration, we recommend using the following USB to RS485 dongle, which is the model we use internally: DFRobot FIT0737 USB to RS485 Dongle
